PHELPS HOUSE

Sitting empty and slowly deteriorating, Carthage Historic Preservation purchased The Phelps House in 1988.  Through extensive restoration and repair work, Volunteers and fundraising efforts returned the Phelps House to its original splendor.  Today, the Phelps House serves as a lovely setting for weddings and other events such as bridal and baby showers, anniversaries, birthdays, and family reunions. 

Carthage Historic Preservation rents the historic home to the public for events. Host a luncheon, business meeting, retreat, or holiday party at the magnificent Phelps House in Carthage, Missouri.  

Phelps House is also open for public tours by appointment.
